The role: Project Controller

As Project Controller, you know your project inside out and are the financial point of contact/sparring partner for the Project Director and Project Managers on this project. You feel responsible for a correctly presented project progress and have affinity with risk management and contract management.

In this role of Project Controller, you manage and control the financial status of one of our largest projects. The basis is the information recorded in the financial records. By bringing these data together and analysing them, you are able to ask the right questions to the parties involved, such as the Project Managers, but also the administration, procurement and calculation departments. On this basis, you create a realistic expectation of the project result. You analyse, identify and report risks and opportunities in a timely manner.

During periodic meetings and by means of reports, you take the financial lead and report to the Project Director on the financial progress of the project. You also advise proactively on the project risks and think along with the client in a solution-oriented way.  
You are also responsible for correct and timely invoicing of the project and preparing the cash flow forecast.

You will start in this position for a multi-year project in Saudi Arabia. Periodic presence in Saudi Arabia is desirable.

Your profile

  • You have completed a bachelor degree in Finance, business economics or (technical) business administration.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with international projects in the construction industry.
  • You are proficient in both the Dutch and English languages verbally and in writing.
  • You have good communication and social skills.
  • You show proactive ownership.
  • You are constructively critical.
