We design, build and operate high-tech horticultural greenhouses that minimize environmental impact while maximizing efficiency and productivity.
Our vision on sustainability
For us, sustainability means designing greenhouse systems that:
-
Reduce carbon emissions through energy-efficient technologies
-
Optimize water usage with advanced recirculation and purification systems
-
Support circularity by integrating urban waste streams into inputs for sustainable food production.
-
Empower growers to produce more with less, responsibly and resiliently
We believe sustainable horticulture is the key to feeding future generations while preserving our planet.
Optimal solution for each project
True impact begins with insight.
Van der Hoeven conducts in-depth feasibility studies to ensure every project is both viable and sustainable.
Location Based Analysis (LBA)
A well-designed greenhouse makes use of its environment to create the optimal indoor growing conditions while minimizing the use of resources.
In a Location Based Analysis (LBA), we evaluate the effects of complex strategic design decisions in relation to Crop, Climate, Resource use and Profit.
Van der Hoeven greenhouses are designed using our proprietary model based design system. The effect of individual design decisions is evaluated long before the greenhouse is in operation. This way we can ensure each greenhouse performs as promised and create an optimal indoor climate for your crop to thrive while using a minimal amount of resources.
